The Big Picture

Hello Friends and Family!

As you know, Jared and I are getting married this summer and we want to celebrate with you! We hope you find this blog a source of information, and please do not hesitate to e-mail us at nicolebooker@hotmail.com or jarreyno@hotmail.com should you need clarification of more information. Here's the big picture on the upcoming events...

Wedding: private ceremony

Celebrations: We will be having two informal, outdoor, BBQ, picnic-style parties. One will be held in Maine, where Nicole grew up, and one will be held in Colorado, where we currently live.

Dates: Maine-Saturday, July 25th at 5:00 p.m.
Colorado-Saturday, August 15th at 4:00 p.m.

Attire: Casual-please be comfortable and dress as you like. FYI-Nicole plans to wear her wedding dress to both parties!! Can you blame her??

Food: Traditional southern BBQ-pulled pork, smoked chicken, cold salads, and the fixins'.

Beverages: Beer, wine, soda and water

Maine Location: The party will be held in Gorham, Maine. Julie and Floyd Brown have graciously offered their home and yard for the party. They live at 165 Mosher Road, in Gorham, Maine 04038. Feel free to map it online. To get there, you can take Route 25 out of Portland, through Westbrook, and into Gorham, where you connect with Route 237 (across from Beal's Ice Cream). The Browns live off Route 237, and their house is set back from the road. Their mailbox says 8 and there is a blue sign that says Rivers Edge Drive (their private road). You can park on the main road or down the street at the neighborhood school, and carpool to the house.

Colorado Location: The party will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado. Susan Pfeuffer and Tara Bunch (the parents who used to employ Nicole as a nanny) have graciously offered their home and yard for the party. They live at 1160 Laporte Avenue, in Fort Collins, Colorado 80521. Feel free to map it online. To get there from I-25, you would take the Mulberry Avenue exit and follow Mulberry west through town until you reached Shields Avenue. Turn north (right) on Shields and follow it to Laporte Avenue. Turn West (left) on Laporte Avenue and their house is the 8th or 9th on the right. It has a stone and wrought iron fence and the house has a sign with the name Glenrock on it. Please park on the main street on a side road.

RSVP: Please reply by June 15th to Nicole at nicolebooker@hotmail.com. Please be sure to include the celebration location as well as number planning to attend. Thank you!

Other Information:

  • Children are welcome at both celebrations, and parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times.
  • Friends are welcome to bring tents and camp out on the Brown's property during the Maine celebration. A bonfire is planned for after dark, weather permitting.
  • Out of town guests who need recommendations for accommodations, please e-mail Nicole at nicolebooker@hotmail.com
